Consulting Services - Using the best tools to provide the best results!

Logical Innovations, LLC offers consulting services to assist groups that do not have the resources within their organization to develop the quality content that they desire. These consulting services will be provided by Lee Cooper and Michael Thompson. Lee Cooper has years of experience with Columbus Regional Healthcare System developing clinical content and managing all aspects of the Centricity EMR. He has also been a very active member of the Centricity Healthcare Users Group community through his many contributions to the mailing list, forum, and presentations at the CHUG conferences. In addition, he has served on the CHUG Board as Member-At-Large and continues to serve on the Website sub-committee. Besides this extensive IT experience, he has clinical experience with a background in nursing for over 20 years. Using Visual Form Editor to develop custom content we are confident that we will be able to provide the following benefits:

1. Content developed will, in many cases, be superior to that which can be developed by consultants using the traditional EFE.
2. Development time for building content will be significantly reduced by using a superior design tool.
3. Customers will be able to more easily modify content once it has been built because it will be designed in Visual Form Editor and customers will receive the source files.

* Please note that because we utilize Visual Form Editor for all form development and have extensive experience in developing complex content, we can often develop content much more quickly than other consultants that are not using this software. However, we do require that an appropriate single-user license for Visual Form Editor be purchased by all organizations that are requesting form development work. This license will allow you to use the forms developed and also entitles one individual within your organization to download, install and use the Visual Form Editor to make modifications to your encounter forms.

Consulting Rates**

Hourly rate for off site consulting - $160/hour if the forms may not be shared with the Centricity EMR community. (Discounted rate would be $120/hour.) ***

Hourly rate for connecting remotely - $180/hour using GoToMeeting® connectivity. This assistance can include training or any of the other services listed above. ***

Service contracts - We offer six month and one year service contracts that provide guaranteed time for revisions and new projects at a discounted rate. Work that exceeds the contracted amount of time for the period will be billed at the appropriate regular rate.

On-site rates - Development is primarily off-site to maximize productivity. It is possible to request on-site assistance, if availability permits. The rates for on-site assistance are $1,500.00 per travel day and $1,500.00 per 8 hour day. In addition, expenses for travel, lodging, meals, etc. are the responsibility of the customer. If travel and assistance total one day or less, the cost will be $2,500.00 per incident, plus travel costs, meals, etc.

** We offer a 25% discount for all off-site services if Logical Innovations, LLC is allowed to share the content developed with the larger EMR community (e.g. post for free download from the User Group Forum or a similar site). This discount does NOT apply to on-site rates or projects where there is no "product" that could be shared (e.g custom interface or training). Please also see note above regarding requirement for Visual Form Editor license on forms development projects.

*** The minimum time requirement for all hourly work is one hour and we bill in ½ hour increments thereafter.

While we can perform the up-front research to build content, it is preferred that the customer outline exactly what they want within the form. This saves the customer time and money as well as ensuring final product delivery with minimal revisions. Another advantage of the customer doing the research is that they become familiar with the content and will require minimal training for subsequent implementation.
